Subject edit: Not a genuine ZCP. More of a UK CSL lookalike. Still absolutely gorgeous.

From the BMW Registry:

What is the E46 M3 CSL?
The !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is a special variation of the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! that features numerous lightweight components, as well as a myriad of drivetrain, chassis and cosmetic enhancements. The "CSL" moniker denotes "Coupe Sport Lightweight" and was first used on the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in 1971. A total of 1,383 E46 M3 CSLs were produced to European specification between June and December of 2003 in both left-hand drive (841 built) and right-hand drive (542 built) configuration. (This figure excludes an additional series of at least a dozen !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! built between September of 2002 and February of 2003.)

The E46 M3 CSL is most notably distinguished from the standard E46 M3 by its various lightweight components. The largest of these is the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , which weighs over 13 pounds less than its conventional steel counterpart. The front bumper support is also constructed of GFP, as is the uniquely-shaped front airdam with its single intake on the left-hand side. At the rear, the lower rear valance panel is made of GFP, while the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Fiberglass-reinforced plastic is used for the rear bumper supports and this material is also "sandwiched" with thermoplastics and foam to create the trunk floor and rear bulkhead. As a final weight-saving measure, the rear window glass is extra thin. BMW claimed that the M3 CSL weighed 3,054 pounds, or roughly 10 percent less than the normal model.

What is the E46 M3 Competition Package?
The !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , known by the internal designation "ZCP", was introduced in December of 2004 as an option for the E46 M3 coupe. It consisted of the following equipment (most of which is derived from that of the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ):
- !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (enlarged to 13.7 inches in front) with two-piece compound rotors (aluminum hat and outer portion connected by steel pins)
-Steering ratio reduced to 14.5:1
-M Track Mode setting for Dynamic Stability Control (raises—but does not eliminate—the threshold at which the DSC intervenes)
- !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (8x19-inch front, 9.5x19-inch rear)
-Alcantara-wrapped M three-spoke steering wheel with M Track Mode activation button (audio and cruise control buttons deleted)
-Specific aluminum interior trim with milled effect
-Exclusive Interlagos Blue metallic (A30) paint option

How many examples of the E46 M3 coupe with Competition Package were produced?
BMW produced a total of 3,011 E46 M3 coupes with the optional Competition Package (ZCP). The breakdown by model type is as follows: BL91 = 326 examples, BL92 (designated as the M3 CS in the United Kingdom) = 275 examples, BL93 = 2,410 examples.

Loving the wheel to tire ratio on this car. Minimal fender gap, but maintains what seems to be a practical street alignment. All body mods are subtle, like carbon fiber lip accents and rear diffuser. Besides the roof rack, that's pretty obvious.

It is really nice, but why the roof rack? I really don't understand this trend at all. Are you going on a long distance excursion? Do you like unnecessary drag and weight added to the roof?

That's a bad representation of a ZCP. Mainly because it has a CSL trunk, diffuser, and front bumper as well as aftermarket wheels none of which the ZCP cars came with.

Skis? Bikes? who knows, people don't get them generally unless they use them.

Except for the fact that the use them like once a year and then just leave them on for that look.

You are quite correct. Went back to look at it later and it is actually more of a CSL lookalike. Not a Comp Pkg. At first glance, saw the wheels and drilled brakes and assumed ZCP, but no alcantara steering wheel and M button.

The wheels and brakes do look ZCP correct...

I'm glad someone confirmed this for me. I knew it didn't look real.
